Gang Kidnaps Noida Man, Demands His Pet Dog As Ransom

In a rather unusual kidnapping case, three men who wanted his dog allegedly abducted a Noida resident.

The incident happened on Wednesday evening in Noida’s Alpha 2 neighbourhood.

Rahul Pratap, a resident of Greater Noida was walking his pet, said to be a Dogo Argentino breed, when three men in an SUV stopped him and said they liked the dog.

They then allegedly demanded Rahul hand over his pet to them, which he declined.

This reportedly resulted in an argument between them, and the gang then forced Rahul onto their Mahindra Scorpio and sped away.

The incident came to light after Rahul’s brother Shubham approached the police.

He claimed that the trio had called him from Rahul’s phone, demanding that the dog be handed over to them, or his brother would be killed.

However, the captors later released him, allegedly due to the fear of getting caught.

Based on Shubham’s complaint, the police have booked three people, Vishal Kumar, Lalit and Monty, all natives of Aligarh in Uttar Pradesh.

According to the police, a case has been registered under IPC section 364 (kidnapping), and the accused are on the run.
