Pre-Marriage Test Goes Wrong: Man Hospitalized After Fiancée’s Childbirth Pain Simulation

We’ve all heard of couples testing their relationship before tying the knot, but this story takes pre-marriage tests to a whole new — and dangerous — level.

A woman from Henan Province, China recently shared a shocking confession that quickly went viral for all the wrong reasons.

At the suggestion of her mother and sister, she decided to make her fiancé experience the “pain of childbirth” before their wedding to ensure he would be more considerate of his future wife.

The man initially refused the bizarre request, but eventually gave in after his fiancée’s persistent insistence.

Little did he know, this decision would lead to a medical emergency and the end of their engagement.

From Reluctant Agreement to Medical Emergency

The disturbing “test” took place at a maternity care facility operated by the woman’s sister, using an electrical stimulation device specifically designed to simulate childbirth pain.

What followed was three hours of increasing electrical shocks to the man’s stomach.

In her since-deleted social media post on Chinese platform REDnote, the woman described the grueling ordeal in disturbing detail.

For the first 90 minutes, she gradually increased the intensity of the electrical current.

Then, for another 90 minutes, she cranked the power to maximum levels.

“My boyfriend started to feel miserable from level 8, and couldn’t help cursing by level 10,” she wrote in her confession.

“At level 12, he was sweating and breathing rapidly due to the severe pain. By the end of the experience, he was completely exhausted and his stomach was as hard as a board.”

The consequences of this twisted test quickly became apparent.

That night, the man experienced severe abdominal pain and vomited multiple times.

While he appeared to feel somewhat better the following day, his condition rapidly deteriorated, eventually requiring urgent medical attention.

After being rushed to the hospital, doctors diagnosed him with intestine necrosis — the death of intestinal tissue — necessitating emergency resection surgery.

When the man’s family learned what had happened, they were understandably furious.

They banned the woman from visiting the hospital, declared the engagement officially over, and warned her to prepare for legal action.

The woman turned to social media seeking advice on how to handle the situation, but instead faced overwhelming criticism from outraged users.

The backlash was so severe that she ultimately deleted her post and closed her account — but not before screenshots of her confession began circulating widely online.

According to Chinese legal experts weighing in on the case, the consequences could be severe.

If the man or his family file a formal complaint, the woman could face up to three years in prison and be required to pay significant compensation to the victim.

This story serves as a disturbing reminder of how “relationship tests” can cross dangerous boundaries, transforming from misguided attempts at building understanding into outright abuse with serious physical and legal consequences.
