There are many ways of earning easy money on social media these days. Influencer marketing is a trend that has grown exponentially in the last 5 years. And as things stand, they are showing no signs of slowing down.
There are several types of influencers on Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook. There are those who work individually to promote themselves, and there are some who help brands attain popularity on digital platforms.
Then there are some who do some really bizarre things to gain traction. Interestingly, they even make big bucks by getting the required number of hits.
In the history of wealth, many men and women have become millionaires by doing some really bizarre deeds.
But can you imagine earning money by selling unwashed socks? In 2018, a foot fetish model was earning a whopping £100,000 a year by selling used socks and trainers that she buys for a couple of pounds. The foot fetish industry may be frowned upon by many, but Roxy said she loves the attention she gets from her ‘fans’.
If that sounds bizarre, try processing the story of a woman who earns in six-figures every month by pretending to be a dog.
The influencer here is a 21-year-old Jeanna Phillips, who happens to be a former optician. She said she always ‘felt like a puppy’ and now earns in six-figures by making videos in which she acts like a dog.
Her dog acts include dog things like rolling on the floor, chasing a ball, and other things.
As of now, she has over 1,20,000 followers on TikTok. A large number of subscribers pay over $20 each month to watch her content.
The money is earned by completing the requests of specific subscribers, some of whom apparently pay over $1,000 for a video, says Jeanna.
“I feel like a dog. I just want to roll around, play fetch, get head scratches, run around and play. All of that.I have always acted like a puppy, but not in a sexual way at first. I used to pretend I was a puppy when I was growing up. I really love praise. I love hearing ‘good girl’. It makes my heart melt every time,” she said.
She added that making videos is now her full-time job and her income has increased 100 times since she changed her work.
