A 24-year-old man from Fatehpur, Uttar Pradesh, was reportedly bitten by a snake for the seventh time within 40 days. Since the bites consistently happened on weekends, his parents had no option but to repeatedly seek medical assistance.
In an extraordinary series of events, 24-year-old Vikas Dubey from Fatehpur, Uttar Pradesh, has been bitten by a snake seven times in just 40 days.
These snakebites have repeatedly placed Dubey in critical condition, deepening the mystery and concern surrounding his predicament. Despite the gravity of each incident, Dubey has astonishingly stabilized after the seventh bite. Living in Soura village, his ordeal began at his uncle’s home, launching a sequence of baffling occurrences.
From June 2 to July 6, Dubey suffered six additional bites, intensifying his family’s anxiety. They disclosed a chilling premonition Dubey had about being bitten nine times, surviving only until the eighth bite, asserting that no medical or spiritual intervention could save him from a ninth bite.
Despite advice to move away after the fourth incident, the snakebites persisted, even at his aunt’s house where he was bitten for the fifth time. With each attack occurring on weekends, his parents were compelled to seek medical treatment repeatedly.
After the seventh snakebite on July 6, Dubey’s health took a severe turn, necessitating another emergency hospital visit. Fortunately, medical intervention was successful, and Dubey once again recovered. His strange encounters with snakes and the consistent timing of the bites have sparked questions about unseen forces at play.
Chief Medical Officer Rajiv Nayan Giri responded to the situation, noting that Dubey has sought financial assistance from the authorities. Giri stated, “The victim came to the Collectorate and cried that he had spent a lot of money to cure the snake bite and now he requested financial help from the authorities. I advised him to visit a government-run hospital where he could get anti-snake venom free of cost,” as reported to ANI on Friday.
Giri found the pattern highly unusual, saying, “We still need to figure out if it is actually a snake that’s biting him. We also need to see the competence of the doctor who is treating him. A person being bitten by a snake every Saturday and that person being admitted to the same hospital every time, and recovering in just one day seems strange.”
To delve into this matter, a three-doctor team was formed to investigate. “This is why we thought of forming a team to investigate the case, after which I will tell the people the truth of the matter,” Giri added.
Officials confirmed that each time Vikas Dubey was bitten, he received hospital treatment and subsequently recovered.
