In a case that has left an entire Kansas town baffled, authorities discovered a woman who had apparently been sitting on the same toilet seat for TWO YEARS. Yes, you read that correctly.

Deputies in Ness County, Kansas reported that the 35-year-old woman’s skin had actually grown around the toilet seat, creating a medical situation that’s as bizarre as it is concerning.
The shocking discovery came after the woman’s boyfriend finally called authorities to report that “something was wrong” with his girlfriend.

What might have tipped him off? Perhaps the fact that she had been in the bathroom for 2 years?
Sheriff Bryan Whipple described the surreal scene that greeted first responders.
“She was not glued. She was not tied. She was just physically stuck by her body,” he said.
“It is hard to imagine. … I still have a hard time imagining it myself.”

The situation was so extreme that emergency responders had to remove the entire toilet seat using a pry bar, and the woman was transported to the hospital with the seat still attached to her body.
Medical professionals at the hospital later removed it.
“Maybe Tomorrow”
According to the boyfriend, a 36-year-old man whose name has not been released by authorities, he brought his girlfriend food and water throughout the two-year period.

He claims he asked her daily to come out of the bathroom.
Her consistent reply? “Maybe tomorrow.”
When questioned by investigators about the alarming delay in seeking help, the boyfriend apparently offered no explanation for why he waited two years to call authorities.
This detail has raised serious questions about potential mistreatment, and investigators planned to present their findings to the county attorney to determine whether charges should be filed.

When police arrived at the home on February 27, they found the woman still fully clothed, with her sweat pants pulled down to mid-thigh.
Sheriff Whipple noted that she appeared “somewhat disoriented” and her legs showed signs of atrophy from prolonged disuse.
Despite her condition, the woman initially refused help, insisting she was “OK” and did not want to leave the bathroom.
Emergency responders eventually convinced her to seek medical attention, and she was transported to a hospital in Wichita, about 150 miles away.
The case has become “the buzz” in Ness City, according to neighbor James Ellis, who told reporters he had known the woman since childhood but hadn’t seen her for at least six years.

“I don’t think anybody can make any sense out of it,” Ellis said, though he noted that the woman had experienced a difficult childhood after losing her mother at a young age.
According to Ellis, she had apparently been kept inside the house for much of her youth.
Ellis also mentioned that the woman had previously worked at a long-term care facility, though he wasn’t sure what role she had there.
“It really doesn’t surprise me,” Ellis remarked about the bathroom incident. “What surprises me is somebody wasn’t called in a bit earlier.”

Authorities have declined to release the couple’s names officially, though public records list the residence as belonging to Kory McFarren.
Investigators noted that the woman has refused to cooperate with medical providers or law enforcement, and it remains unclear whether she has any mental or physical disabilities that might have contributed to the situation.
